Description
Corporate outings, a sail with family and friends, bachelorette or birthday parties are all great ideas to sail Lake Champlain on a private boat charter. Each two hour sail is fun and memorable for all!
Guests are welcome to participate in the sailing or sit back and relax. No sailing experience is required.
Please note:
- All sails require a minimum of two passengers with a maximum of six. There could be several parties sailing simultaneously.
- Cancellation policy: You may cancel your reservation up to 48 hours.
- If the weather forecast suggests a chance of precipitation of more than 30% you may cancel by the morning of the scheduled cruise.
- You may bring any alcohol and any food.
- We are dog friendly! However, if the dog shows any sign of aggression, it will not be allowed to get on the boat (and will be ordered off it at the closest dock if it is already on).

We had an absolutely delightful cruise today with Gideon! He shared many stories with us and took us on an amazing day cruise!

This sunset sailing cruise was a true delight! My in-laws were visiting Vermont for the first time from out of state, and this was truly a wonderful way to explore the beauty of Lake Champlain and Burlington. Gideon was hospitable and kind, offering up great conversation, stories, and history lessons about Lake Champlain and the surrounding region. Being on a sailboat was great fun and we loved getting to interact with the art of sailing – I even got to steer us around a little bit! A must.

Hello Dakota, thank you for the review! ✨

Sunset cruise on a beautiful night. We slowly went out heading into the sunset, then turned around to head back to the dock just as the sun was going down at our backs. We could have turned around but the positioning of the seating the captain recommended did not allow a comfortable way to view the sunset.

Thank you for sharing your experience, Julie. I’m glad you enjoyed a beautiful evening on the water, and I appreciate your feedback about the sunset view.
The boat’s direction during a cruise is determined by wind speed, wind direction, and weather conditions, as well as the need to return to shore before dark. These factors sometimes mean we must head back before the sun has fully set.
The front seats are popular for their privacy and open view, but guests are always welcome to move to the back of the boat during the return trip, where they can better face the sunset. I will make sure to emphasize this option more clearly for future passengers.
If you’re back in the area, please get in touch, we’d be happy to invite you and your party aboard for a complimentary cruise.
